Authors who publish with Z-Islamica: Journal of Islamic Studies agree to the following terms:

1. Copyright Retention
   Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits others to share (copy and redistribute), adapt (remix, transform, and build upon) the work for any purpose, even commercially, with appropriate credit to the original authorship and source.

2. Author's Rights
   Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networking platforms) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges and earlier and greater citation of published work.

3. Publishing Rights
   By submitting the manuscript to this journal, the author(s) acknowledge that, if accepted for publication, the editorial team has the right to edit the work for clarity, consistency, and formatting, while maintaining the content integrity.

4. No Article Processing Charge (APC)
   Publication in this journal is free of charge. There are no submission fees or article processing charges.
